User-friendly and compact
The tolerances of electronic components and strict criteria in terms of precise switching or response distances of sensors require individual adjustment and setting options. Laser trimmers from the Business Fiber TRIM product series are appropriately adapted fiber lasers that meet these high quality requirements. They consist of a completely air-cooled supply unit and a compact laser head with an integrated vision system.
Laser trimmers differ from lasers for material marking in that they have beam generation adapted for trimming applications, an integrated image recognition system (AOI) and extended electrical interfaces via which the necessary measurement technology is connected.
Laser trimmers are used as manual workstations or integration components in automated systems. Our laser systems can be adapted to customer-specific requirements. For example, design variants in conjunction with a laser station such as the Workstation Professional or a rotary indexing table are possible. The manual workstations are ESD-compliant. All components are controlled via our in-house Magic Mark software.

Resistive components are sometimes fine-tuned to the application directly in the circuits in which they are implemented. The exact conductance of the resistor is realized with the so-called passive adjustment. Functional parameters of a switching group are realized by means of active adjustment. The laser beam removes the resistor layer without damaging the ceramic base body, or the specific conductance is reduced by a targeted laser cut in the resistor material and the resistance value is increased.
