ACI Laser is unveiling its new DFL Nova Marker UV fiber laser for the first time at SurfaceTechnology GERMANY. As a fiber laser operating in the ultraviolet wavelength range of 355 nanometers, it complements the high-performance fiber lasers of the Business Fiber series. The short wavelength of the DFL Nova Marker enables “cold material processing,” which minimizes thermal effects on the material – ideal for applications requiring the highest precision and particularly gentle material processing.

ACI introduces new DFL Nova Marker UV Fiber Laser

The DFL Nova Marker was specifically developed for demanding marking and engraving applications. It stands out for its versatility across a wide range of materials and is ideal for marking plastics and ceramics, as well as for fine engraving on metals. In addition, the new UV fiber laser offers optimal conditions for high-precision fine-cutting and texturing processes.

UDI-compliant laser marking of medical devices

Medical instruments, implants, pacemakers, and tubing made from various materials can be marked quickly, precisely, and to a high standard using the DFL Brevis Marker ultrashort-pulse laser, in accordance with Unique Device Identification (UDI) guidelines. The laser beam produces markings – such as barcodes or 2D codes containing information on serial or lot numbers, expiration dates, and much more – with consistent quality. The surface remains unchanged and withstands high-temperature sterilization. Micro-markings in the form of characters and the finest material texturing are achievable.
