Intelligent axis control
Precise movements during setup, high dynamics during production: The Workstation Professional’s intelligent axis controller is designed to meet both requirements. In slow-motion mode, positions can be approached in a controlled manner, while performance mode enables fast motion sequences.
Together with the new precision axis system, this forms the foundation for precise positioning and efficient processes – from setup to series production.

Flexible configuration
The Workstation Professional is specifically designed for the workpiece, marking task, and process. Depending on the application, options include a motorized Y-table, a rotary axis, workpiece holders, and vision systems.
Additional handling solutions, as well as barcode and ID reading systems, can be added as needed. Side openings provide further options for optional attachments or feed-throughs. The result is a laser station whose configuration is tailored to the specific manufacturing task.
Ease of use & ergonomics
In day-to-day production, easy access, a clear view, and convenient operation are essential. That’s exactly what the new Workstation Professional is designed for – from setup to the ongoing marking process.
The electric door, efficient interior lighting, and adjustable monitor arm make working at the laser station easier. The base provides a stable foundation while also offering flexibility in placement.

Software & Networking
With Magic Mark, the control and configuration of the Workstation Professional are integrated into a single software environment. The laser and connected peripherals can be tailored to the specific marking process; C# scripting, as well as internal and external programming options, provide additional flexibility for application-specific workflows.
Magic Mark plugins extend Workstation Professional for networked production processes. OPC UA and sockets enable communication with external systems and devices; additional plugins provide functions for data integration, external control, and camera-based processes.
Designs & product family
Whether on an existing workstation, freestanding with a base, or with a larger workspace: The Workstation Professional offers a variety of solutions for different operating conditions. The standard model is available as a tabletop version or with a base. For applications requiring more workspace, the Workstation Professional XL rounds out the product family.

Table-top version
The compact design is intended for placement on a suitable workstation. It is ideal when the Workstation Professional is to be integrated into an existing work environment.

With base frame
With the base frame, the Workstation Professional becomes a freestanding laser workstation. The freestanding design provides a stable base and additional flexibility in placement.

Workstation Professional XL
For applications that require more space for workpieces and machining tasks, the Workstation Professional XL is available with a larger work area.
Options & extensions
The workpiece, marking area, and process determine the configuration. To meet these needs, the Workstation Professional can be specifically enhanced with solutions for positioning, vision, handling, and system peripherals.
An optional motorized Y-table increases the marking area, thereby expanding the possibilities for larger workpieces or marking positions that are farther apart.
For rotationally symmetric components, the Workstation Professional can also be equipped with a rotation axis. This enables the marking of cylindrical workpieces. Various workpiece holders, such as prism or indexing devices, ensure secure and application-specific positioning.
For recurring labeling tasks, the Workstation Professional can be equipped with various handling solutions. These include, for example, a label handling system and a film handling system with an unwinder and rewinder for film label application.
Side openings on the left and right provide additional options for optional attachments or feed-throughs. This allows the Workstation Professional to be specifically tailored to additional components and the intended manufacturing process right from the system design phase.
Vision systems provide support in applications where workpieces need to be reliably detected and markings precisely positioned. With the CPM vision system, the operator aligns the marking directly with the camera image of the actual workpiece. The AOI vision system goes one step further: It automatically detects the position and orientation of a component, aligns the marking accordingly, and can then verify the result.
In addition, code and ID reading systems can be used to incorporate markings and identification features directly into the marking process. The Workstation Professional can thus also be configured for applications in which positioning, inspection, and traceability play an important role.
In laser marking, a suitable exhaust and filtration solution is an integral part of the system design. It removes emissions generated during processing from the work area, thereby contributing to health and environmental protection. The Workstation Professional offers a connection for an external exhaust and filtration system and can be equipped with a suitable laser exhaust system.
Depending on the system configuration, desktop or industrial PCs are also available. This allows the laser station, controller, and necessary peripherals to be configured to suit the respective production environment.
Suitable laser systems
The Workstation Professional can be combined with ACI Laser's marking lasers. The choice of laser system depends on the material, the marking task, and the requirements of the specific process.
The Workstation Professional is a turnkey Class 1 laser station designed for industrial marking applications. It combines a precision axis system, intelligent axis control, and application-specific configuration options into a single system solution.
The Workstation Professional is available as a tabletop model and as a freestanding version with a base. For applications requiring more workspace, the Workstation Professional XL rounds out the product family.
The Workstation Professional is compatible with all ACI Laser marking lasers. The laser best suited for a given application depends, among other factors, on the material, the marking task, and the process requirements.
The materials that can be processed depend on the marking laser used. Depending on the laser source, various metals, plastics, ceramics, and other materials can be marked or engraved. The Workstation Professional is a Class 1 laser system solution into which the marking laser best suited for the material and application is integrated.
Depending on the marking task, the laser station can be equipped with, among other things, a motorized Y-table, a rotary axis, workpiece holders, vision systems, code and ID readers, and handling solutions.
The motorized Y-table increases the available marking area, thereby expanding the possibilities for applications that require moving to additional positions within the processing area.
Yes. A rotary axis allows for the positioning of rotationally symmetric or cylindrical workpieces and their processing for corresponding marking tasks. Various workpiece holders, such as prism holders or indexing devices, enable application-specific clamping.
The Workstation Professional can be equipped with CPM and AOI vision systems. These systems support camera-based marking processes, such as the positioning or automatic detection of workpieces and marking positions.
The Workstation Professional is controlled by Magic Mark. The software handles the control and configuration of the laser and connected peripherals and offers both internal and external programming options. Additional functions—such as machine communication, data integration, or camera-assisted processes—can be added via Magic Mark plugins.
