Laser Batch / Laser Marking Masterbatch
A laser batch is a special masterbatch for plastics. It is a highly concentrated granulate containing laser additives—that is, functional additives that specifically influence the interaction between the plastic and laser radiation. The laser batch is mixed into the plastic during processing to improve its laser-markability and, depending on the material, color, and laser source used, to enable high-contrast and reproducible markings. Suitability depends on the plastic, the material color, the laser batch used, and the laser source employed.
